UK Events 2020

Post by Armortek »

The 2020 UK Event Season is almost here, if the rain ever lets up (with apologies to our Australian friends).

Events at the Tank Museum

The following bookings have been registered at the Tank Museum:

- South West Model Show (15th - 16th February 2020)

- Tiger Day 13 (25th April 2020)

- VE Day Event (8th May 2020)

- TANKFEST (26th - 28th June 2020)

- Tiger Day 14 (19th September 2020)

- South West Model Show (17th - 18th October 2020)

For the two model shows, our attendance will be focussed on the Sundays, although the running area will be available should anyone wish to attend for both days. Armortek is likely to attend the two Model Shows and TankFest. The May VE Day Event is still being discussed but could be of interest to anyone who enjoys WW2 Models. We've been specifically asked to attend that show, which may possibly extend to more than one day.

Insurance

If you're intending to come to any of the shows, it would help minimise hassle to have copies of your valid third party insurance certificates. Would you please let either Chris Hall or myself have a digital or hard copy via info@armortek.co.uk

General

We've been discussing with the Tank Museum how they might improve things for us this year. They recognise what is involved in showing our models and the need to enhance what we get out of attending. Discussions have covered running areas, talks and some other ideas which will develop during the year. They are particularly aware of the shortcomings of the TankFest running area and are working on a better solution.

SW Model Show 15-16 Feb

If you'd like tickets for the Feb Model Show, please register now by PM or email to Chris Hall or myself.

Time to blow the cobwebs away.

SW Model Show 15-16 Feb

Post by Chris Hall »

Now that the excitement over the new releases has died down a bit ...... :)

Sadly, I haven't had a lot of interest in the forthcoming Model Show at Bovington. It's always good to keep 'in' with our spiritual home, especially with all the goodies they've promised us. Some people are prepared to travel a long way to support this, but many of you live a lot closer ...... regard this as a downpayment on getting into Tankfest for free !

If you're interested, please let Stephen White or myself know ASAP via Private Message. The only requirements are a willingness to display your pride and joy to the General Public (inside, where it's nice and warm), and valid insurance.

All the best, in hope,

Chris

Hi Stephen,

With regards to the South West Model Show (15th - 16th February 2020), same procedure as every year (unloading, times, tickets, etc.)?

Cheers

Peter
Lord, give me strength to change the things I am able to change.... and patience to endure the things I can not change :-) A bunch of Tiger and Panther variants, a few 88`s and smaler ones like Hetzer, Stug III, etc. and soon a Leo II
