Militracks 2020 POSTPONED to May 2021

Post by Armortek »

Following on from a great event last year, we are planning on going to Militracks (https://www.oorlogsmuseum.nl/en/events/militracks/) again this year in Holland on the 16th/ 17th May.

For details on last years event have a look at this forum post: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=7677

Militracks is a unique event with the public offered the chance to ride everything from a Famo to a Kettenkrad. Last year there was a running Panther and the year before a King Tiger. The event attracts thousands of visitors.

This year the museum have been kind enough to offer us a running area.
If you are interested in going and want to bring an Armortek model to the running area then let us know at sales@armortek.co.uk as soon as possible.

Its great to see such a strong response for Militracks - and thank you for all of your offers to help.

Over the next few weeks we will work out more details. In the meantime, if you are planning on staying locally, we recommend that you book accommodation early. There will be some camping available on site, so if that is of interest, please let us know asap.

We are checking on space for motorhomes, but if not allowed on site, there are campsites in the vicinity.

For those who would like to visit Militracks, these are some good campsites nearby:

https://www.intholtoverloon.nl/groepsca ... militracks
This is a small site, so early reservation is advised.

https://www.deoudebarrier.nl/nederlands ... informatie
https://www.campingdentiel.nl/

It is not possible/allowed to camp on the museum grounds.

I'll be arriving early Thursday evening so will be available to help setting up on the Friday.

I'll be in my camper van with a brother, so will have a 3 x 3 meter gazeebo, 2 x 2 meter tables, a camping stove with tea and coffee making facility if we are stuck for drinks

For any Happy campers I'll be bringing a couple of Kilos of Smoked Bacon and loaves of bread and serving bacon butties about 7:30 or 8 am on the Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Bacon is traditionally cured with no nitrates or additives by a local butchery.

Nice one Pete. We've got a crowd coming from UK. In addition to the Firm (Kian and co), we've got five registered. Kian, should we book tickets for the show or did you manage to get any sort of deal with the organisers?

Looking forward to it, especially the bacon butties. Stephen

I have the hotel booked allready.
How about the tickets? - Do we have special tickets for akteurs or shall I book normal guest tickets?

Cheers
