New CNC machine tools

Post by Armortek »

For those of you interested in the machinery that makes your kits, we have just updated our gallery with pictures of the arrival of two new cnc machine tools yesterday.

http://www.armortek.co.uk/gallery/main. ... emId=10142

They are both Haas machines from the USA, one is a VF2 which replaces our VF1 and gives both increased capacity and speed. The second is a TL1 which is a CNC controlled toolroom lathe giving additional capacity and flexibilty.

We have invested in these machines to enusre that we can continue to improve the quality and detail of the kits and maintain prompt delivery.

Mark and Gill,

Congrats on the new tooling system. Will that be able to produce a really complicated turret like the Pershing??

Cant wait to see what is next.

Jim

The machine would be able to make a turret such as the Pershing, however it would still be more economical to have a casting made.

Tim

Mark might think it is Christmas, not sure that machine tools would be on my Christmas list

The VF2 has been commisioned today and the engineer is back tomorrow to commision the TL1. So both will be in use very soon.

Mark,
That's some serious cnc machinery you have there. Congrats on the new "big boys toys". I love this stuff and envy you.
