Last March I downloaded a diagram showing the location of the six flat headed bolt on the turret roof.

Looking at this diagram, it's pretty obvious that I must have got it from tiger1.info website. Problem is today I went to look for the page which has this diagram and I just can't find it. Can somebody please direct me to this page which has this diagram?

I am looking for this page as it might tell me the diameter of these bolt heads which is not shown on the diagram. Anybody have this info?

Thanks

Vince

If you know the distance between them from the drawing you have, then you should be able to extrapolate the diameter from the drawings here:

Hi Vince,

22mm, the same as on the Turmfugenschutz.

During the last couple of days I have been searching for a good photo of the actual position of these bolt heads. In the above diagram it shows them exactly between the turret weld seam but in the Jentz & Doyle book (page 149) it shows them in a slightly different position closer to the weld seam.

Finally found a good photo of the Vimoutiers Tiger showing exactly this feature.

Looks like it is exactly like the diagram above.

Regarding another discussion, the picture before that one shows how tightly the mantlet goes to the turret. You can barely fit a fingernail there!
