If anyone has upgraded their cupola (I have Tiger1 late 8/2007 build) with the Mike Stannard TT37K1-12E upgrade kit can they give me a hoy please. As per the instructions I have Drilled a 3/8" post hole and Machine recessed (burred) the surrounding area, I have arrived to the current depth for the arm to fit but when attaching the hatch with the supplied "Hatch arm centre hex bolt and inserting in to the post hole the hatch is at least 3mm out from its retaining closed position. If I add a much longer bolt its fits perfectly but has some play in the Hatch which is not right.
I do not feel comfortable with carrying on with drilling down to the North Atlantic Ocean (in Australia)! So I am throwing caution to the wind!!!

PS the only logical thing I can think of is carrying on machining the recess and file down the post hole surrounding raised edge because the arm is going to disappear within the surround?
