it's an early production Tiger I, that has been hit in the gun barrel there are one or two more pictures showing similar hits

Great post Robert, thank you for sharing. I think it’s a pretty famous picture I have seen it online a few times. Here are some more rare pictures of similar situations.

A couple of more interesting pictures. The top one is from Christmas time in 1944 in the Ardennes. The second panzer is just hilarious.
