Hello everyone !

We’re a Scale Model Makers/Builders from Mexico City, formerly and mostly plastic Models, so please be good with us for to resolve some things with other materials also excuse my english I’m little rusty and may be I use some american slang (I don’t know why 8) ).
We want to show how we’re building and updating the Armortek Elefant, mexican style :D
This is a comision for a very good friend, we’re a little obssesive with some details (other modellers call this a rivet counters sindrom ) but this is the way we like and amuzing us, any coments and cuestions are wellcome.

Hi again,

Thanks Brian !

One of the first things we check was that the rear sight covers are not accurrate, so we correct this re working the original pieces with the lathe and filling the gaps with automotive filler... May be the pictures are not in a correct secuence, sorry... :wink:

Told you, the images are not in order, excuse me, the last ones shows how this pieces comes originaly, the next ones show the final result, by the way the big piece betwen the cover and the roof was turn in aluminium

Someone ask me why did not we start with the basic assemble, well I think every body who build this behemoths know they have some isues, but is only matter of put some work, however if you have any cuestion of “how to” ask freely.
So we will continue from the top to the botom...
We like to hide all the screws that not exist in the real thing, so they are changed to be covered with filler, also we make details missing in the loader and commander hatches...

We remake the sliding cover for sight, to correct the posición of the hole for the sight and we make it in two pieces to allow open the gunner’s hatch... sorry I don’ know why the pictures do not show in the correct sequence

The sliding cover rail was reworked to get the proper shape and size
Rain gutters was added

We rework one of the sights to make a mold and cast all the sights in clear Blue and green poliurethane resin...
