Forum members, it is with a heavy heart and such bad news that Per sonnervik has passed away.
i knew him well, apart from his outstanding model building skill he was great fun, interesting and someone you could spend hour's with observing life's crazy going's on, i could fill this page with what a nice guy he was, regards to Brigitta his wife, what can one say. regards simon manning

That's shocking news. I only met Per a couple of times at open days but he was always a real gent, and passionate about research and passing on his encyclopedic knowledge.
My thoughts go out to his family and friends.

Very sorry to hear. I never met him, but would have liked too. He helped me out with some odd ball questions on details, where I couldn’t find the answer anywhere else. Condolences to his family and friends.

I hear the news yesterday from Sven S, he was a friend of him,
i met Per a few times, on the openday and tiger day.
My thoughts are with the family and friends.

Re: Per sonnervik R.I.P.
RIP Per. Per was one of those people who wore their very considerable knowledge lightly. Never arrogant or smug, he was unfailingly helpful and generous. He was one of those who held to the principle that if your going to comment on others’ work, you should say something positive or remain silent. He was entertaining and interesting to talk to, online and at his many appearances at Dunkerswell. Per, you’ll be greatly missed but your legacy will remain. Our thoughts to his family.

Re: Per sonnervik R.I.P.
Sad and shocking, I only just now found out from a post on a local forum. I don't remember now how we first got in touch but out of the blue he phoned me up on a sunday morning to talk for an hour about my S-Tank plans, his Tiger B, and modeling in general, I think this was in 2000. We met at a show later the same year but as life would soon distract me from the modeling world, we would never meet again.
That phone call is a memory I have come to appreciate. Thank you Per.

This is very sad news for those who knew and met him on the Open days and at Bovington. He was very Knowledgeable and a great modeller and especially known for his attention to detail. If it wasn't right he would put it right. He will be sadly missed
