Over the last few years we have brought out a whole series of kits as a direct result of your feedback - kits like the Pershing, JagdPanther, Hetzer, Leopard 2A4, and more recently the Sd Kfz 7, 88mm Flak 36 and the upcoming Challenger 2.

So, in keeping with what has become and annual tradition, here is your opportunity to once again influence our future production plans.

We have added in some "guide pricing" next to the names of the models. This is a rough estimate of the price at the current rates.

Thanks in advance for your input and we look forward to the results.

Centurion Re-wire

Post by Kevin Hunter »

Long story, don’t ask  but I’ve rewired my Centurion.
All going swimmingly except for slight issue with track control.
Working single stick, using right hand stick on Tx. Left/right turn on Tx is giving fwd/reverse, and fwd/rev on Tx is giving left/right turn on tank.
Have tried swapping rx connections for elevator and Paileron to no avail.
Using DX8. Model setup hasn’t been changed so it must be my connections. Anyone any thoughts?.
Thanks
Kevin

Have you changed the motor connections ?

If you have, try swapping one side. If that makes it drive correctly but backwards, swap both of them.

Thanks as always for your input Adrian.
Just to be sure, are you talking about power leads to left / right motors, power lead polarity, or Rc connections?
I’m using new style motion and audio module. Current configuration on the audio module Rc terminals is:
1 rx elevator
2 recoil servo
3 to motion module 3
4 rx aileron
5 to motion module 4
6 rx aux2 (sound toggle switch)
Cheers
Kevin

The power connections to the motors themselves.

Ok cheers.
Bit dark now. First thing tomorrow will swap left and right motor connections on motion pack, maintaining yellow and blue polarity, and see what happens. Fingers crossed ......

Don't swap both motors over, just swap the blue/yellow leads on one motor and see how that affects things.

Misunderstood you last night Adrian. In the wee small hours the proverbial penny dropped and your logic was suddenly blindingly obvious. Dohhhhh.
So this morning, played with motor polarity. Took a couple of goes to get tracks running in correct sense fwd/rev/left/right but happily all sorted.
Sounds also now programmed succesfully.
Final question for you, hopefully, where does the brown lead from your smoker fan control unit connect on these new modules?
Then we’re back on the road again. Hallelujah!!
Many thanks for all of your help.

Glad you got it working :D :D :D

The brown lead from my fan control module should go to the black pin on LED Output 3.

However, this relies on Armortek loading a config onto the TBS MIni which has the Oil Smoker function enabled, which doesn't always seem to be the case. I have another customer's Audio Module here which needed this enabling in the config. It is simple to do, but does require a programming lead and Thomas's TBS Flash software from his web site.

Sorry Adrian, missed your reply.
Thanks again for your help. I'm not sure about my sound card, I'll have to ask Kian after their break. If not you can probably expect a request for help!
best
Kevin
