Armortek Customer Open Day Update

Post by Armortek »

Armortek Customer Open Day

Following last years successful event we are having another Customer Open Day this year on Saturday September 13th.

The day is open to Armortek customers and you are also welcome to bring a guest with you. We would also encourage you to bring your completed or part built Armortek model/models with you, however if you do not have a model as yet or it is not possible you will be just as welcome.

There will model competitions with prizes, auctions, bargain bins and much much more. Further information and details will follow over the next few weeks.

We are also very pleased to announce that on the following day (Sunday 14th) there will be the opportunity for all Armortek customers who come to the open day to get a discounted admission to the Tank Museum in Bovington. Normal entry price is £11.00 per adult and this will be reduced to £7.50 on the day, which will not only give you access to the museum for the Sunday but also your entry ticket entitles you to return to the Tank Museum as many times as you like - for a year! (as long as you are a UK tax payer). In addition, the Tank Museum are kindly offering to provide a talk on the King Tiger to be delivered by one of the museums historians, Stuart Wheeler, again exclusively for Armortek customers. For more information on the tank museum go to:

http://www.tankmuseum.org/home.html

In order to help us plan both days we are asking that everyone who wishes to attend lets us know, specifically we need to know the following:

Name of customer attending
If a friend or member of family will be coming with you
Models you intend to bring.
If you will be going to the tank museum on the Sunday
and finally if you wish to attend the talk on the King Tiger.

We are currently asking that you restrict the number of guests per customer to one until we get an idea of numbers attending, however we will try to be flexible if this causes you difficulties.

Children are welcome as are dogs however it is a factory environment and as such they should be appropriately supervised.

Please either e-mail this information directly to sales@armortek.co.uk or if you prefer you can reply on this thread.

Finally if you have any suggestions for the day then please let us know!

Gill and Mark

I'll be there :D

I'd better also book a place for the missus  but although owning a couple of hundred kilos of Armortek products, I don't have a single runner at present :!: :!:

Hi All

Thanks for all your responses here and by e-mail.

Allan

Yes we can organise a meal at the airclub again as we did before. For those of you who did not come last year, many of us ended the day at Dunkeswell Air Club, which is in walking distance, does a good range of simple but good quality food at very reasonable prices. Please let me know again either by e-mail or on this thread if you would like to come along and I will book the tables.

I am taking it that those of you who say 'yes you are coming' are referring to the Saturday at Armortek, anyone who wants to come to the Tank Museum as well can you state this separately. Sorry, not wishing to be a pain, but just need to be sure we get the numbers right.

many thanks
Gill
