Good evening everyone, the Roller build is moving along....to much time spent following the Famo's.
I have reached the point where I need to set up the ' Bench Test '. The armoured car bodywork is coming together nicely....still putting off building the wheels, for the time being....
Just an observation and a point of interest, whosoever complied the instructions and diagrams for the Rolls Royce Armoured Car Motion and Options pack deserves a 'pat on the back', well done. They are the most comprehensive, easy to follow instructions so far….brilliant. They are a real pleasure, a huge leap forward Armortek….Mick

Thank you Phil and Robert for your comments. Finally completed the 'Bench Test', no real problems, and remember I soon lose track of where I am going with each radio control lead. The instruction booklet is a blessing. I am restricted to using my Spektrum DX6 for this setup. I have a Spektrum DX8 on order. The armoured car motion/sound requires at least seven Rx channels.
The Rolls Royce engine sounds 'clapped'

....and the 'voice' overs on the sound board are lifted from the Morris Quad voice sounds...I was expecting to hear a rather nice 'plummy' voice, it is a Rolls Royce after all

.....Still following the Famo builds, too heavy for me Phil, I do like the 'Grant' though, may have to check the contents of my savings tin, hidden under the bed,

Hello Phil, the seven channels are Main Drive, Steering, Radiator Fan and Lights, Turret Turn, Front Armour Door Open, Gun Elevation, Trigger for Sounds ...if I could work out how to assign the 'sounds' to a three way toggle switch, B or G located on the top of the DX6 it would free up the right hand stick, which I use presently.....I have the 'sounds' on the R/H stick at the moment by moving the stick left to right. I get confused with Rx port assignments and channel input configuration, so I set up with a layout I knew worked, aka my Panther....The instructions booklet is fine, it's how I configure my Spektrum Tx I can't work out, I have a mental block when it comes to the' port/channel assignments....I have never been comfortable with radio setups. My moto is....if all the systems work, we have lift off

Mick, we have our sounds set up on "D" on our DX6 (was on "B", but that stick broke off!!)

Steps below show how we set do the setup:

Good morning each, update from a few days ago. My Spektrum DX8 G2 had arrived and having received advice from Kian I ran a fresh bench test. Suffice to say all is well. The 'sounds' are relocated to a three way toggle switch and with the eight channels mean all motion units are working individually, niceeee. Looking forward to the 'solid wheels'

. I will build the wire ones as well.

Still following your build and congratulations on your DX8. I also have one like that. Is your left stick spring-loaded to centre? On mine only the right stick is spring-loaded. I was wondering if it's possible to also make the left stick spring-loaded.
