We're now working on attendance at Tiger Day IX on 28 Apr and TankFest on 29 Jun-1 Jul. Tiger Day will be another opportunity to see Tiger 131 in action and we will have a running area on the car park. It's an opportunity to test the running arrangements before TankFest, when we will have a bigger display area, in which we're hoping to provide some interesting landscape features.
Tiger Day IX
I've got five names so far for Tiger Day. I'd like to get our provisional attendance list to the Museum in the next couple of weeks. If you're planning to attend, could you please let us know by email or PM as soon as you can?
TankFest
The list for TankFest is filling up. Space is at a premium, so if you're planning to come, it would be very helpful to register your interest sooner rather than later, particularly if you're travelling long distances. We're aiming at around forty models and are about half way there already. The arrangements will be different this year. The show will run over three days, with some preparation beforehand on the Thursday. We've negotiated a new location, with plenty of space for running on the hard standing of the car park. This is a good result as the competition for space is increased with the new Conservation Centre build and the alternative would have greatly reduced the space available and would have restricted our numbers.
We're now considering options for creating landscaping. The aim is to have a gap crossing using the Bailey Bridge, a WW1 trench system and some "hills and valleys" for tactical manoeuvring. The solution has to be easily removable, so soil or sand isn't a solution. Sandbags might be an answer but if anyone has a more creative solution, please suggest it.
Best regards
Stephen

Ah, I see you're hanging on these pearls....... Sorry to keep you in suspense. Pity our local power provider seems unable to keep the lecky flowing. Back to the rum punch.
And yes, I did manage to find one tracked vehicle...... Armortek's next model?

Oddly enough we've just had a power outage of about an hour here, but no rum punch unfortunately.
