Work on the Stowage Bin Tiger 1

Post by Steen Vøler »

hi all
The old stowage bin on my Tiger 1 needs an upgrade.

I took it apart, and as you can see on the pictures, it is fairly battleworned :D

Top and bottom parts are bended and twisted, so I took a hammer and gently hammered the parts back to a suitable shape.

Next is to sand and make the surface nice af smooth for the primer.

New hinges will be installed as well as the stowage bin is going to have rivets

Well it has some history Steen, and if you put it in your wood burner for an hour to remove all the filler, then wire brush it and place it on your workshop shelf as a curio people will be fascinated :D

been working a litte bit more on the stowage bin and the base is now finished.

The raised plates for the hinges will be grinded down flat to the surface, as the new hinges has a bend on the to raise the lids.

Will post more pictures as the build comes along
