Having trouble uploading new avatar (OK for now)

Dear forum users,
As the subject described, after the Photobucket's changing of policy, my original avatar was disappeared.
I have tried to upload a new avatar, a reduced size photo ( <80 X 80 pixel with a new file name) from a large original one (640 X 480 pixel) from my photo file, yet the response was rejected because of the too big size of the original one.

So far I have tried many times with different photos, only this grey shadow one was accepted, which is not my preference. But by uploading any other photo, the same rejected reason appeared.

Any one with similar problem before, and/ or solution, please kindly tell me. Thank you in advance.

Hi Chang, I just tried and changed the avatar for Armortek - it worked fine.

2 things you need to watch out for:
1. Size of the image - which as you say needs to be less than 80 pixels by 80 pixels. (for those who dont know how to do this, you can use Paint on a windows machine and resize the image).
2. The size of the file needs to be less than 78Kb (again can use Paint for this)

Thank you for the advice.
I have already reduced the original image (640 X 480 pixels) to a smaller one (less than 80 X 80 pixels, saved with a different file name, and smaller than 78KB) before uploading. I know the restriction of size.
The error message said:

The submitted avatar is 640 pixels wide and 480 pixels high. Avatar must be at least 20 pixels high and 20 pixels high, but no larger than 80 pixels wide and 80 pixels high.

My troubles are:
(1) Why does the error message indicate on the original image (640 X 480 pixels) which I didn't submit for uploading?
(2) Why was it OK when uploading the grey shadow image (77 X 77 pixels 2.09KB) used as testing, but failed so on others I prefer to? (eg, one with 79 X 56 pixels, 12.8KB)

Any information about these?

So far the uploading of a avatar was OK as you can see. Not sure if I try another one.........
