Hi guys,

I have found that the steering turns ok to the left but poorly to the right.

With no weight on the wheels it turns ok

How have others found the steering?

I have it a bit better but still not great.. I think the servo saver takes the preciseness out ..

Still goes further one way than the other..

If you reverse the steering channel on the radio, does that change which way steers best ?

If it does, then it's related to the channel setup on the radio somehow - probably the end point setting.

If it doesn't, then it is probably mechanical. Can you adjust the nuts to tighten down the spring movement ?

Hi, I had this problem also.
I went to the extreme and replicated the steering servo setup onto the left hand side.
This worked out great, so now it can turn reasonably easy on medium length
grass while not moving, and also works perfect on the carpet in the house .
I had to fabricate a couple of parts so it looked identical to the other side, but wasnt too hard.

Edit; I also removed the "Servo Saver" to take some of the "free play" out of it.
I know this isnt recommended, but I havent had a problem with the servo's so far.

My colleague, Andy, is into his RC Cars and I saw that the servo arm on his car was 'deeper' than the servo supplied. This meant there is much more clearance for the linkage as reaches the end of its travel, but also allows the servo to be mounted inboard on its support plate. This gives much more clearance for the Tyre, maximising the steering lock. It is a neat solution, so thanks to Andy!
