2016 audio system hookup

Hi everyone, I'm hooking up the sound system to the motion pack now, but with this new system it's pretty confusing as to which connections go where, and I'm finding the manual's directions to be vague. Can someone post a picture with the audio system connected to the motion system so I can see exactly which plugs go where, as what was seen in the previous generation manual?

Assuming this is for your Firefly.
The receiver channel for the LH track goes to RC Connection 1 on the Audio Module.
The receiver channel for the RH track goes to RC Connection 4 on the Audio Module.
The receiver channel for controlling the Benedini sound functions goes to RC Connection 6 on the Audio Module.
RC Connection 3 on the Audio Module goes to RC Input 3 on the Motion Control Module.
RC Connection 5 on the Audio Module goes to RC Input 4 on the Motion Control Module.
The LH motor should now be controlled by Speed Control 3 and the RH track by Speed Control 4 on the Motion Control Module.
Adrian.

No this is for the Tiger 131, will the instructions you have above work for that vehicle with the current 16 system?

Ok, I was able to hook the system up with the above instructions and now I have control over the tracks and a electronic beep that emerges from the speaker (Thanks Adrian!), which I presume is so far so good. Now I presume that RC connection 6 from the audio module gets plugged into the RX, My question is to which channel? Also does it have to be on a Potentiometer as the older system needed to for basic function?
P.S. The Radio I'm using is this one,
John
--UPDATE--
I hooked the pot to the bene control, I was able to configure the radio to start the engine up and shut it down... but I am unable to get throttle control. I've done the procedure in the instructions 50 times with either the same result, or the throttle will get triggered by the track and rev, but will not slow down just a continuous loop of full throttle sound when the track is no longer moving.
Slowly I'm getting there but I honestly wish there was an easier way for these sound systems to be configured

John, have you read the Knowledge Base Topic on setting up the sound card?
http://www.armortek.co.uk/Forum3b/viewt ... =34&t=5809
It tells you how to "teach" each of the engine sounds.
Regards
Stephen

The sound card is usually sent out configured in what Thomas calls "Toggle Switch Mode", so RC Connection 6 needs to be plugged into a channel controlled by a three position switch on the transmitter. On the older transmitters, the switches were assigned fixed channels, but with the newer transmitters they can be reassigned, and functions change depending on whether the transmitter is in aeroplane or helicopter mode, so you will need to check the transmitter settings to find the correct channel on the receiver.
One thing which always catches me out is that you press the button on the Benedini board to initiate the learning process, then everything else is done on the transmitter.
Adrian.

lol no way... just waiting for that email
Now that the engine is working the next step is to figure out how to make the 03 smoke system work with the 16 power supply / motion pack unit... then onto to make the old blank system work

Aha, you need another one of my fan control units

I have the latest Audio System and I have looked and looked on the printed circuit board for the program button and I can't see one anywhere. I have even used a magnifying glass. Can someone please help me. I had it working on the bench without pressing any buttons but wouldn't you know it now I have fitted it in my tank it is not working.
Cheers Frazer

You should see the TBS Mini shown below plugged into the main Audio Module board.
If it worked on the bench but not in the tank then it's far more likely to be the wiring than the programming, so I would double check that before trying to reprogram it.
Adrian.

Thanks for your help Adrian
I did see that tiny black button but when I push it nothing happens. I think there must be a fault with the sound card as when I had it working, I did a drawing to make sure I set it up exactly the same. I have my transmitter No six channel configured with a three way switch, so the sixth output on my receiver plugs into the No six input on the audio module. I connected this input to a servo and it works fine, so I know its getting a signal from my transmitter. As I say I think it must be a problem with sound card. The Viper also is not sending the current through to the turret moror.
Cheers Frazer

Hi Adrian I have attached my wiring drawing for the Audio and Control Module. I wonder if you would please look at it to see if you can see any mistakes.

First off, being pedantic, I'm not sure you have the battery connections (red + black) going into the MCM the right way round
You drawing makes it look like the Viper and the Audio module are both fed from the same 10A feed and if neither is working, that would seem to indicate a fault common to both, which may well be the 10A fuse.
If it is blown, disconnect both the Viper and the Audion Module before replacing it, in case it blows again when you plug one or the other in.
I can't recall if the Audio Module has a power light but you should be able to see a small green LED flashing rapidly on the TBS Mini card, between the red connector and the PCB edge. If that isn't flashing, the TBS isn't getting any power.
Do you hear the single squeak from the TBS Mini when you power up ?
Adrian.
