Hi Dale,

I would like to be the first to congratulate you on a job very very well done, if mine turns out half as good as that I will be pleased.
Thanks for taking the time and effort to keep us all informed on how the build was progressing and for posting the 'how to' tutorials aswell.

Can't wait to see your next project!

Best regards
Phil

p.s I'm still interested in the turret roof catches if you have the time to make them for me.

Hi Dale, that's a stunning looking Tiger, and the only way you no its not real. is because of the back ground, the paintwork is totally believable, I had my Tiger on reserve for some time waster, but after seeing your results I will finish mine, well done Dale
Regards
Jeff

Dale, that truly is an incredible model :!: :!:

Congratulations on your vision from the outset of the build and your patience and skill in seeing it through to such an outstanding conclusion.

I don't think this Tiger raises the bar so much as launches it :!: :!:

Adrian.

Hi Dale
That is just stunning,I have followed with interest you build
and the fine quality of finnish on your metal work.
To see what Noel has done with the paint job is out of this world,It looks like a real battle ravaged tank. The damage effects are better than first class.
I hope I can get near to 50% as good as that on my Panther I would be well happy.......I think Its up there as one of the best I have ever seen! :D :o :D

Dale,

WOW!!!!! As said the bar has been well and truely launched. And to think that at one time you were thinking of selling it. Bet your glad you stuck with the project.

I've seen this look on a few 35th scale models but didn't think it was possible to capture it on 1/6th however, Noel has done 100%

Jeff, I'm glad to hear that you are not selling your Tiger now, I look forward to the build photos because it it is anything like the 88 and half track we are in for another treat.

Thanks everyone for your comments It means a lot to me . This morning after breakfast I took my cup of tea out into my workshop at 6.30am and sat there for 40 minutes just looking at my tiger . It does look like it has just come off the battle field . Right from the start I did not won't to build a factory fresh tiger . My vison was to emulate a machine straight out of the history books and I have done that . So that makes me so happy.

Allan I'm so lucky having Noel living near me . He has been modeling 1/35 scale for 40 years . Noel has the best collection of armor that I have ever seen . His workmanship is as good if not better then the top guys in the world . Some of the detail on my model that does not show up in the photos are !! Boot prints in the right places , oil stains, mud and puddles splashers, worn paint where the crew move around, you will notice that the road wheels towards the rear are weathered darker then the front wheels , also you will notice that the fourth outer road wheel on the right is new with the correct writing stating where it needed to go . plus all the pastal dusting . deep and shallow scratches . rain stains , rust weeping out of some of the scratches . The engine Deck also got the full treatment. When you stand next to the model you will notice how busy and dirty this part of the model is compeared to the rest . you can see where the crew have changed oil filters and worked on the motor . There are heat treated areas around the exhausts . The barrel also has heat burned paint on the top edges , The mussel brake also is the correct colour .. It just goes on . Any way I think this is what makes the model looks so balanced . Dale

Dale,

I think a full photo survey is in order to share these details.
