I have done some work on the deck, Mainly the rear deck.
Added tow rope fittings, detailed the rear grills and mesh guards, replaced molded filler caps with my own and added some cast numbers.
Still missing some of the deck components, the latches for the fan grills and engine hatch. I have the very old grills so latch fittings separate.

I have set my suspension correctly and started work on the lower hull details. I don't have the track pin deflector parts so cannot sort this out for now. Also, not sure about bump stops. Make my own or try to get some of the Steve Winston ones.

The hull fillet is made from 12.5mm aluminium flat. I had to mill some 15mm flat to size. Copper rivets from EKP supplies, UK. Tools; I was using a power file but in the end found a basic half round file was better. Lenghts of pieces 415mm and 385mm. Tim Bowman had all dimensions in his late tiger post. viewtopic.php?t=1247&start=75

Mark Lawson is reproducing the correct Tiger 1 bump stops, they look exactly like the Steve Winstone ones.

I do have the Tiger bump stops. It took months of research to get the bump stops right. Below are early prototypes printed in resin to ensure the scale was as close as possible to the original part.

And the final cast part with and without the rubber block.

I have mentioned before this is not a complete kit but a mix of various releases and home made replacement parts. I have one of the old cast turrets and am missing the piece at the front of turret roof. Does anyone have pictures of this piece so that I can try to make a replacement.

The original part was just a rectangular section which went across and bolted to the ends.

This is a photo I took of Pack 20 from the 2005 Early Tiger kit:

This is a picture from Vince Abbott's Tiger build showing the stock part in place:

It should actually have a kick up at the front, which Vince replicated with an additional piece:

You can see the part on his SmugMug page, about a third of the way down:

Thanks Adrian. I was not sure if it went over side. That make it a lot clearer. Now to see if I have a suitable piece of aluminium.

Just to let you know that the T-Bar Vince made is not correct, if you look at the post of my Tiger on page 14 you can see the one I made.

I have been busy making view ports for the Early Tiger 1.

I also replace the turret view ports on the turret with my own machined aluminium covers. I had the very old version from the cast turret.

Hi Mike,

Had a look at that. Might give it a try. See if I have any suitable alloy. I had a great supplier nearby. They went out of business recently so much more difficult now.

I am also interested in looking at correcting the mudguard hinges as you did.
