Tiger 131 build pics
Things appear to be progressing nicely, no real dramas so far. Will do a trial build and then strip it for priming.

Please post some photos of the new armortek turret bearing. Saw one at the opening day but I'm sure others would like to see this new upgrade.

I'll get some pics for you tomorrow John. I didn't realize it differed from the earlier models

Re: Tiger 131 build pics
Reading your thread is making me impatient to get on with my own Tiger. Hopefully another couple of weeks if the solicitors get their fingers out and I can move into the new place and have the kit delivered.

Re: Tiger 131 build pics
Its coming together nicely Micheal. The new roller bearing that Mark has added is a top upgrade to the Tiger kit, it will let the turret spin round effortlessly.
The first Tiger 1 kits had a brass bearing.
It had to be glued in place, luckily I had plenty of clamps
I added 8 counter sunk screws as well. it still works well 11 years later

Thanks for posting pictures. This would be a nice upgrade for older models if made available.

Re: Tiger 131 build pics
Have just stripped down the shell and cleaned everything with a wash of thinners and then acetone. So i have now got numerous piles of bits which I hope to reassemble as a Tiger 1. Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to start spraying everything with etch primer and begin the rebuild.

Re: Tiger 131 build pics
Got a few more bits and pieces done. Very pleased with the lazy susan which I have bolted to the top of the lift and then mounted a mini sissor jack on top so I now have 360 degrees of movement with very little effort. It was only £13 so a real bargain and is rated to 1100 lbs. Spent most of today spraying roadwheels. Got the rear bin coming from Steve Winstone and a couple of other goodies.
