2025 ARMORTEK KIT SURVEY

Over the last few years we have brought out a whole series of kits as a direct result of your feedback - kits like the Pershing, JagdPanther, Hetzer, Leopard 2A4, and more recently the Sd Kfz 7, 88mm Flak 36 and the upcoming Challenger 2.

So, in keeping with what has become and annual tradition, here is your opportunity to once again influence our future production plans.

We have added in some "guide pricing" next to the names of the models. This is a rough estimate of the price at the current rates.

Thanks in advance for your input and we look forward to the results.

Tank lift

Post by Chris glover »

Hi Chaps
I have noticed people have been using low profile lifts of the screw jack type to raise their tank off its tracks. Is there any particular make I should be looking out for or a supplier?
Thanks
Chris

I use the ones from CJ Autos - search ebay for MB04A and also buy their motorbike mover - search ebay for MB04M.

The scissor lift sits in the trolley, only adding an inch or so to the height, but means I can wheel the tank around the workshop once it is up off its tracks.

No connection with CJ, but the two I have bought have done sterling service.

If you go for a different brand, make sure you buy a lift with a hex nut on the end of the lifting shaft, so that you can attach a socket and ratchet handle to it. The first one I bought just had a tommy bar type thing, which meant you could hardly reach it once the tank was on the top and could only turn it in fractions. Lots of chafed knuckles. It's sitting in its box at the moment, awaiting conversion to a hex end.

Hi Adrian
If you, or anyone else wants a conversion I have now done three such lifts by brazing two nuts together and drilling through for the split pin. So just let me know.
