Hi All
I'm up to pack 4 .... I've assemble the compete drive sprocket. I have made sure that the key, tapered bushing and the drive gear fit freely in one another before assembly but I have several questions.
1) I have noticed the gear drive can move slightly laterally when spinning the sprocket enough for the cap screws to rub on the drive case. I can pull on the sprocket moving it out slightly to stop this from happening but what stops this from moving back? Does the track hold the sprocket in place when they are installed?
2) What stops the drive gear from rubbing the tank's side hull when in operation for the gear sits if not right against the hull, very close to it?
3) I have tried to take the assembly apart and I have found removing the tapered lock impossible. I have followed the instructions but I can't take the assembly apart. Can anyone give me some ideas as to what I can do. I have only assembled the one and want to know what I should do to make the remaining one come apart easier and what I can do with the one that is together to remove the assembly.
