Blown Fuse

Can anyone help solve my problem with blowing main fuse. Runs well on bench. Elevation, rotation tracks smoke all OK. As soon as on ground and pulling down weight main fuse is blown after 15 minutes. Power pack was received with 35amp Manual says 30 amp. Any ideas?

Hello Ken

I have a similar problem (I got a KT) when I put my KT down to the ground and reversing the tank - my fuse blow (30 amp). I have no problem driving forward and back.

Solution here is, use both engines at the same time when you turn your tank, If the problem is the same. Try to google the problem here on this forum.

Hello guys

The main fuse should be 40amps, not 30 or 35. Your kits should have been shipped with a 40 amp fuse in place. If not this was an error. All the big tanks are fused at 40amps, only the smaller vehicles use lower rated fuses.

I'm sure I've read somewhere that, as the battery voltage drops, the current increases to compensate, so could it be the battery which is at fault ?

Could you wire up a DVM to see how the battery voltage looks as you run the tank ?

Or you could go by the colour of the LED in the Power Module, if you have that fitted. If it ever goes red whilst running the tank, then the battery voltage is too low.
