Hi all
Before i connect it to something does anybody know what the 3.5mm jack socket is for.
Pre amp out or the fan as i read somewhere that the fan speed is controlled by the sound board.

It's possible that a previous owner has modified it. All the factory wiring was done with the 1/4" blade connectors at the end of the unit.

The factory supplied fan has always been controlled by the speed of one of the driver motors, so is proportional to the speed of one of the tracks - no link to the sound.
Unless you buy one of my gadgets that is

These are the fan control units, which link the fan operation to the engine sounds, rather than just whether the tank is moving or not:

John Grima has kindly mentioned it in his recent thread on his Tiger build.
To use with something other than a Benedini board, you also need one of these:

I tested it with an original Sherman sound unit and it seemed to work OK, so no reason why it shouldn't work with a Tiger one.
