My Mark IV has arrived, and I started the first task of checking off all of the parts last night. I'm excited to see how well others builds are progressing!

Re: Mark IV 014
014 is progressing slowly. I reached step 14 but have disassembled most of the vehicle, to follow Ray's suggestion of finishing each sub assembly.
I'm not sure how the MG mountings fit in the male sponson, and would appreciate an idiots guide if someone has time to explain it to me.
Does anyone know when the motion kit will be available? I'd rather get it so I can figure out how it fits before I go too much further
Cheers

Hi Dave
I too had to stop and think about fitting the Machine Gun Ball Assembly.
You need to look at Page 31 and then take inspiration. The Brass Socket Collar EK0621 sits in the hole in the Hull, the Lewis Ball EK0623 is then kept in place by the Socket EK0622 which is on the inside and is bolted to the Hull with six bolts. The Brass part needed judicious filing as it was just a little too big.
I hope this makes sense... This picture shows the external view.

Thanks Steve. Did you use the M3 x 8 hex bolts?
Are the countersunk holes on the outer sponson for the motion pack?

Hi Dave
I guess the countersunk holes are for the motion pack and they will be filled in due course!
For attachment, I am using 2.5mm bolts with the nuts on the outside, the length I have not decided on, but I think I will need to file down bolts to suit the appearance in photos. The Bovington Tank is my prime model!
