Aluminum Wheels For SdKfz 250, Trailers and Pak 35/36

Post by Mike Stannard (toyrific) »

Hi Guys

At long last I have the aluminum wheels in stock, 50 pairs only of which 23 pairs are pre-ordered, I doubt these will be made again due to the problems I had in getting this first batch done and the likelihood of the company that made them may want me to increase the order to 1000 pieces which seems to be their policy once the first order is made.

These wheels were used on vehicles, trailers and the 37 mm Pak 35/36 and had two different grease caps, I have produced both types and each set of two wheels comes with both types of grease caps so you can used them on a vehicle, trailer or gun. A set consists of two rubber tires, two rims, two hubs and four grease caps (two of each) plus 10 x 4-40 x 1/2" bolts and 10 x 4-40 lock nuts to bolt the wheel rims to the hubs.

Item # WH01 Set of two tires, rims and hubs with four grease caps (2 of each) & 10 nuts and bolts. Price $80.00

Here is a list of vehicles, trailers and guns that these wheels were used on. This list may not be complete.

Fitting wheel to 2 mm Flak 30/38 Trailer. Hubs have 1/4" center holes to fit 1/4" shoulder bolts and require two 10-24 hex nuts to act as lock nuts to hold wheel in place so it will turn freely. 1/4" shoulder bolts are available in various lengths to enable fitting to scratch built vehicles and trailers. All explained in instructions that come with the wheels.

Hey that looks good Mike, and may be just what I could use. I just had my suspension and steering redone in alu/steel, but I think we stopped at the spindle.
Does your hub have a bearing? Kind of hard to tell in the photo. Ill try to get you an e-mail this weekend.

Hi Roland

No bearing, but plenty of thickness in the hub to drill and place one.
