Once it has cooled .. File flat , so as to leave a thin layer of solder .

Re clamp the parts and add flux to the other part .

Now re heat with torch

Flip over and bring heat to the other side . You will see the parts sweet togerther

Do the same with the cross peaces . If you have problems with heat un doing some of your work next to the part you are working on , use clamps on them as well or use wet cloths . I hope this helps the best thing to do is to pratice on some scrap . Dale

Hi Dale - thats exactly how I do it but I have always added to much solder causing it to flow all over - don't know why I didn't think of using less and filing it down does the job. When in doubt ask a master!

It's the little things like filing away the excess solder which make these sorts of pieces outstanding.

There is also a solder paste that i have found very usefull on small parts .
