New Website

Post by Armortek »

Within the next day or two we are going to be updating our website and forum.

We have been working on the new site which is 'content managed', this means that we can edit all of the site ourselves which previously we were not able to do.

We would like to thank Mark Mitchell, who designed and runs our existing site for all his hard work and commitment over the last few years. Mark will continue to work with us on graphics and design work, whilst we take over the day to day running of the website.

The forum will be migrated and will remain intact with posts, passwords etc. However, from now until the change over any new posts may get missed and therefore you may wish to hold off posting, especially if uploading pictures. There will be a short time when the site is down, however we will do our best to keep this to a minimum.

This is all very new to us and we ask for your patience with any teething problems. Our plan is to develop the site to include more information and features as time progresses.

Thank you

Gill and Mark

Hello Gill, hello Mark,

nice look and a little bit more friendly than the older design but
on my opinion the yellow of the links in the link section should be
a little bit darker or another colour. The contrast is not so ideal.
Have fun building, Kind regards
Christian

The Forum is much more pleasant to look at, with a light background!
However, I do not know if it's just my problem, but I do not understand why the last message in a thread I get with white writing that, on the bottom very light gray, almost not be distinguished!
The previous posts are in black, but the last of each topic appears to me in white and is virtually unreadable: it is a problem that only happens to me?
Sorry for my bad English ....

I have had that too, but if you refresh the page in your browser (usually F5 in Windows) then the text becomes black as per the rest of the thread.

It's never a problem Iacopo. You should see the Google 'English' translation of the Zimm forum

Whilst a late announced open day would be great, I hope that Mark and Gill are busy making the last items for the Mark IV. Plus the packing benches are being prepared for a busy week (or two) of getting the Tanks out of the factory... :)
I too appreciate the brighter format of the website. It is a pain having to wear glasses now, and finding that my visual acuity is helped by more light.
Regards Steve
