Mick's 25 Pounder

Post by michael hilton »

Hello everyone, finally back in the 'fold'. After a long layoff the lure of Armortek proved to be too strong so, I treated myself to the 'Limber'and ordered the 25PDR from the next production run. My kit arrived yesterday, I was so excited I met the UPS delivery van/man halfway up our street..... :D

Welcome back. Now you will need the tractor to pull it.

……There can only be one tractor to pull the 25pdr & Ammunition Limber……to complement the Kompact kits…..and that is The British Morris Quad Field Artillery Gun 4 x 4 Tractor.

We can all only hope that Mark will come up with above or something similar someday?

Cheers
Ian

Thank you for the welcome gentlemen, I have followed all of the various 'builds' during the past months, always an interesting read. I was delighted when the Kompact Kits arrived on the scene. Ian, I agree with you....fingers crossed for a Morris Quad.
The usual Armortek quality can be found in 25PDR Limber, much more my weight, looking forward to the build. The earlier 'posts' regarding this kit,I find most helpful.Mick.

My book, British 25PDR Field Gun arrived this morning. Mail order from Barbarossa Books.
Looks to be an excellent reference. I realize I am way behind most of the Kompact Kit field gun builders. .....Mick

Hello John, yes the trailer is in the garage. I was looking to build a diorama on the trailer and include the 25PDR, Limber, and (fingers crossed) a Morris Quad 8) ...Mick

Hello Bob, Don't know the answer to your question....I have used red oxide on my tanks...so I will go with this on the 'Limber'.
Thanks Phil, I enjoy following your builds....you must have a large collection by now.
Just started on the Acid Etch Primer....Mick
