Hi
Two new books arrived today to add to my reference collection, on the Sherman tank.
The Sherman design and development volume 1, is thee best book I have seen on the Sherman tank, all be it a bit on the expensive side. A must have if you are a Sherman fan!

Hi Dennis
Things getting back to normal, after two years of health problems. Restarted my Firefly build and bought the new 25pdr kit.

Interested to see what the next offering will be from the deep southwest.
I know the modeling fraternity is obsessed with German equipment (I'm not), but if you don't make it, you can't sell it, ie try some more allied kits interspersed with the bread and butter German offerings that seem to keep the model industry afloat, these days. I would love one of the large allied armoured cars.

Good to hear from you, hope to get down to Bovington this year and have a chat.
Best regards
John

John - a voice from the wilderness re the obsession with Werhmacht vehicles. I was thinking of suggesting the next kit should be a Panzerfahre lLandwasserschlepper mit zusaetzliche Gulashkannone but feared that might be seen as taking the Michael.

Regards and good luck with the Sherman.

Hi John,
I've been wondering how you've been progressing on your Firefly. Mine is coming along as well. I seem to have hit a wall with the recoil module, sound system, and limit switches. As soon as I can formulate the problems into reasonably intelligent questions, I'll be seeking help on the forum.
Glad to see your post and hope you are doing well.
Regards,
Kirk

Hi John,

Glad to hear things ok. I am about to start a project for the Tank Museum, restoring a 1/6th scale Churchill tank with bridge with wire control built about 1952 and has been in the archives of the Museum for a long time and apparently is in a bit of a sorry state. I am going down there on Wednesday to have a look at it and see what is involved, so will post some pics after that. Haven't got any projects on at the moment so would be good to have something to do. Glad to hear Firefly is progressing and look forward to a meet up at Bovvy.

Dennis.
