Hi all

I am in the process of installing a 12v smoker into my JagdPanther

Have a question related where is it best to pull power for the converter

A: directly from the batteries and the have a seperate on/off for the converter

B: From the Armortek 24V loom via a spare connecter

C: From a wiring from a drivemotor

Any advice here is appreciated

cheers
Steen

Unless I've misunderstood, this option:

> C: From a wiring from a drivemotor

means it will only work when the tank is moving... ?

Either A or B would be suitable and, if you go with A, you can run the tank with the smoker switched off, hence saving battery power and risking filling cars or rooms with unwanted smoke.

Adrian.

Hello Steen

Why don't you fit another battery?

Hi Lee

I have 2 factors going for converter instead of battery.

1 - 12v battery weights more that a converter and I do not want the tank to be heavier

2 - If installing a 12v batteri I also need to have a seperate 12v charger which I do want to avoid

The converter can be bought for appx 25 £ which is a cheaper alternative than a 12v battery and charger + it allows me to use existing 24 CTEK charger

Hi Adrian

Thanks for your feedback. I will connect the converter with a on-off switch to the main batteries
