John Goode’s metal Tiger 1 Maybach HL230 P45 engine for sale

Post by Ron Rothell »

Hello,

I am selling a beautiful, 1/6th scale, all metal Maybach HL 230 P45 built some years ago by John Goode, very limited production. I had John leave my build in a like-new condition, rather than with aging, rust, etc. The idea is to allow the engine to be displayed near the tank, in the crate ready to install, or by using temporary weathering technique, to be displayed as the engine removed for maintenance or replacement. See the photos below – note that the air filters can be removed to display the carburetors. Comes with a vey nice information/history booklet John prepared with a great deal of information, charts, etc.

I am offering the engine for sale by private bidding, so please email me or use the ‘send private message’ feature here if you wish to bid. Starting price is 1000 USD.

Hello,

Anyone wishing to purchase this item should contact me soon, as I have several persons interested. You may email me or use the private message feature on the website to send me your offer.

This is a very high quality build, 1 of only a handful built. Don't let the opportunity slip away, as you know very well that you'll regret missing this special accessory for your Tiger 1 or 2.

Hi Ron, I would be very grateful if you would be kind enough to take two close up pictures of the factory
tags on your Maybach 230 engine so i can make scale decals for my engine. I will email you pictures of my 230 P45.
Thanks & Happy New Year,
