Hi Chang, I can tell you thats way toooooo late for sure. About a year ago I got from him the very last 2 brakes made out of spare pieces. To find them is next to impossible and you can be lucky finding them accepting a very high price. But they are really masterpieces!! Martin

Hi Simon,

Panzerbasics have some French post war drawings:
http://www.panzerbasics.com/index_files ... awings.htm

Can only second on Hugo’s muzzles, they are awesome and as only a handful was made be prepared they will go for a high price tag.
Sad they sold so few when Hugo offered them so he had to give them up...

Cheers
Kent

Hello Kent.
Thanks for the link, very interesting. I hadn't seen these before.
Regarding Hugo's muzzle breaks: I understood (though I can't be sure) that he stopped making them because of concerns for them being used with the blank firing system. Now that has been discontinued, and the recoil system is used instead, maybe he'll consider manufacturing them again?
Food for thought!
Thanks again,
Simon

Hi Chang,

If you can't get a Muzzle Brake I could do a 3D model which the main part could be 3D printed. I've had a few bits 3D printed but I've not been impressed with the finish, though I have seen parts at trade shows which are excellent. I did a very quick, rough and ready model as in the photo's below, just to give you an idea. The drawing used is the French one above.

Dear members, at that time I talked to Hugo. The reason of stopping its production was the low interest and also the danger using it with the blank firer. However he offered me buying the licence and data file to produce the Muzzle brakes either on an own 3 D printer or let have them make in a printer shop. The only things to be made by own are the small metal detail parts. May be you give Hugo a call or mail and ask for the license to produce the basic Muzzle housing. I have no idea how much Hugo is asking for the license. If there are enough interests it might be making sence. Martin

Hi Sarah,

Thanks for your advice. Your 3D print is good enough for me. I don't really request a much-more detailed one as Hugo's.

Does your 3D print one including the metal tube part of Hugo's one, shown in Martin's photo?

I was wondering if this part could lengthen the gun barrel a bit? :?:

Thanks in advance.

Hi Chang, no the aluminum pipe section you see is for gueling into the barre. So its not lenghten the brake. The visible parte after installation stars from the big locking ring! Martin
