I have seen a brief CAD drawing from a friend of mine the King Tiger's KWK 43 L/71 gun barrel, that the stock one (on the bottom) maybe a little shorter than the real one (on the top):
Is there any possibility from the craftman's market these two extra length parts could be released? Maybe include a longer gun tube(CK0759) too?
Cheers,

At 6.24 m the barrel of the KwK 43 was over 1.3 meters longer than that of the 8.8 cm KwK L/56 used for the Tiger I. Also on the drawing you see the later muzzlebreak wich is slimmer and a tad longer. At first they were manufactured with monobloc barrels, but due to the much higher muzzle velocity and operating pressures, barrel wear was an issue. As a result the design was later changed to that of a two-piece barrel. This had no effect on performance but made replacing a worn out barrel much faster and easier than before.
So the notch you have marked is probably correct but as i said i have to look at it.
Have had a plan of doing a new barrel myself
Hmm i need to check this out as well.
Be back when ive checked it

Hi all,
This is the modified 1/6 KT Kwk43 L/71 gun accomplished by my friend Wayne on his KT , with scaled gun barrel length, gun recoiled mechanisms and muzzle flashlight:
A great job done!

Hi Chang,
Many thanks for the links, lovely work by your friend Wayne.
Would it be possible to persuade Wayne to tell us a little more of his recoil system - that would be very interesting.
Cheers,
Per

Hi Per,
Thanks for the compliments. I will let Wayne know firstly.
As far as I know, it's a customer modifications by himself with his genius.
