That was 3 hours (in Sarsons white. Might need 4 hours in Tesco own brand

The vinegar basically removes or stains the stay-bright zinc plating so i imagine a dip in water would rust it up very quickly. The plus is it appears to be perminant so even if you painted the rope and it scratched it wouldnt show up.
It smelt so good I was tempted to salt it as well

Excellent Bob
if you had have salted it,it would probably have excellerated the rust,
then that would be "Chips" for that

It's because im in limbo waiting to move in 3 days and cant do anything else on the tank apart from play with small stuff. Once i have moved the armoured workshops will be constructed
Look at the colour of these beauties. I put them in before work (hook is primed) and 6 hrs later DA DA

Its a ploythene prototype that I made. Will cut steel ones from it. These will lift the tanks on my docks rig in my new worshops. Also making a trussing gantry similar to the real ones with turret lifting clamps and rig for removing turrets etc.
You just can't find hooks and rigging that small on the market unless they look too unrealistic

Thanks Bob,
I forgot about your plans for the Lifting Rig.
Looking forward to seeing it very much.
