Im having a problem getting my sound to turn on. I made a short vid of my connections and the controller im using if anyone has a similar setup. I will give a link to my controller and a youtube link of my controller to my Amplifier board.
1 You can program the channel 5 to 3 way button (e)
2 see then that it is in the middle position
3 unscrew the cap on the amplifier module and locate a reset button
4 Turn on the transmitter and then the Tiger 1 and make sure to have the sound at minimum.
5 press the reset button on amlifier module, then it shall go through all the different sounds.
Just looked at the video. The proramming is going through the sounds. Check that you have the volume turned up on the Amp and the card.
Check that you have the green and yellow from each speaker onto the right terminals. Speaker 1 is green and yellow on the outside and speaker 2 is green and yellow on the inside.

http://www.Facebook.com/newthorpemodels Dont hit me so early in the morning with those negative waves.
Listen carefully i shall say this only once.
If its not broke dont fix it.

Have to disagree - my sound module also has the greens and yellows paired together. As long as one lead from each speaker goes to the left pair of blades (SpkA)and the other from each speaker goes to the right pair of blades (SpkB), it doesn't matter which colour goes where.
Irrespective of how the sound module is programmed, when you turn it on you should get a series of click/clacks played in time to the number of flashes on the LED.
So mine click/clacks three times when switched on.
The clunk when you switch on is from the amplifier module capacitor charging, so it sounds like your speaker is connected OK.
Can you hear any hiss from the speaker and does it get louder if you turn up the volume (clockwise) ?
Yeah Adrian I can turn the volume up on the amplifier and I can hear a hissing sound of the volume getting louder but still no sounds. Is there a second volume switch other than the one on the amplifier, if so I haven't I haven't seen it or adjusted it.

Just to correct myself, that's not strictly true. To get the best quality and volume sound output, the drivers in both Tannoy speakers should be moving in the same direction, so the sound waves from each speaker are boosting each other, rather than cancelling each other out.
So the cables (whatever colour) from left hand pair of blades (SpkA) on the sound module should go to the same terminals on both the Tannoy speakers (either red or black) and the cables from the right hand pair of blades should both go to the other coloured terminals on the speakers.

That would seem to indicate that the sound module amplifier, volume control and speaker connections are all fine. It's looking to me as though the sound section of the Benedini board is not working.
> Is there a second volume switch other than the one on the amplifier
There is a tiny volume control on the Benedini TBS5 board, in the back right corner as you look at your sound module, but I've never had to adjust that on any of my modules.
Have you got the connections to the receiver and speed control module connected up correctly and make sure tx and rx are switched on as you won't get any sounds if they are not.
As Adrian says you only need to adjust the preset vol control on the board if the sound is not loud enough.
I've just connected my system (instructing a female carer). I followed the book & after ensuring the speed control connectors & amplifiers connectors in & out were correct turned on the tx then the power supply unit. I heard 3 clicks then press the amp module reset button. The amp played all different sounds then clicked repeatedly so I turned off power then tx. I then turned on tx, then power module and flicked my 3 position toggle switch on. This engaged the start up sound. Went thru all the sounds with no problems.
Hi Steven
I would connect a servo to your channel five output (if thats the one you want to use ). When using the switch on the transmitter the servo have to move, if not you have a setup problem on the transmitter. On the u-tube wideo I think I heard the same sound as on my tank when I had a similar error. The problem was that one of the connecting cabels had a twist in red-green-blue ,due to that it only grounded the whole sound setup of the sound system.

Ok i made a video showing my board and wire setup. The last part of the video i made a mistake, I never unwound the wires. when both colors where together i wired yellow and green to 1 speaker didn't unwind the wires.
And thanks again for all your replies.... I love all the quick responses.

PS.
Here are the pics from the manual. The way i first had them connected.
At ~1:15 in the video, the little gold things you refer to are the volume, bass and treble controls, with the volume the one on its own in the corner. I wouldn't touch these yet.
The way you have the speakers is now wrong - hence no clunk when you turn on the tank. The left hand two blades is one connection and the right hand pair of blades is the second connection, so you need to have the speakers connected so that one wire from each speaker goes to each set - how it's shown in the manual.
