Tiger 1 - survivors

Hi, one for the Tiger enthusiasts.

There's been lots of speculation about Kevin Wheatcroft owning, and / or building a Tiger 1 from relic parts.

The recent press release, now that '712' is back in the US , says he does own his own Tiger 1, although there seems more comment this is part of a Russian found hull and relic parts obtained separately. So building one from bits.

Just wondering if anyone knows the true story to this one as any news on surviving tanks / parts is of interest, and i don't think KW likes emailers , although i would love to share my interest with him.

If this is a reconstruction based around a large chunk of hull, would be good to know more about it. The turret bin number ' 312 ' and a Latvian find seem to be the speculation, but if there are parts from various wreck sites this is misleading .

I have it on good authority this will eventually be a Tiger made up of many relic parts from various different tanks.

Does anyone have any info on this.

I do hope KW manages to get a running Tiger at some point in the not too distant future.
