Saw this beast at a classic car show I attended at the weekend. It is used for tractor pulling, the engine is a 38 litre diesel turbocharged V12 producing 2000 bhp at 3000 rpm and came out of a Russian T55 tank apparently. An earlier version was used in the T34, he started it up with compressed air and the noise, acceleration and power was incredible. It does about 17 gallons to the mile when competing !!! Apparently the Russians strapped 7 of these in radial format to power generators etc. If allowed to do it, it would do about 170 mph flat out as it only weighs 2.5 tons.
Dennis.
I know it's not a tank....but....the engine is.
