Hello Jeanpaul.

I have always used "Milliput" a two part epoxy putty, you can get it from most craft type shops or on Ebay through "Ancestral dawn" they are very good price wise, and always been very fair with me.
Some of the other guys have used tile adhesive and got very good results also, in fact I have now tried this and it is a very fast way of doing it.

As Paul has aready said, Tile adhesive produces very good results and it is also a lot quicker than Milliput. If you decide to use tile adhesive i would recomend that you purchase a set of Mike Stannards Zimmerit tools (http://www.6thscaleicons.com/)

Has anyone tried the Milliput versus the tile adhesive method. I like the tile adhesive option, but how durable is it as compared to Milliput?

I have recently worked on a tile adhesive covered tank and found it chipped easily. Had to replace some faces of the armour with milliput.
Milliput takes longer to apply and it takes quite a few packs.Make sure the milliput is well mixed. I roll out sheets between sheets of grease proof paper with an old rolling pin. Work on the pattern with various paint scrapers that i have cut to suit the patterns.

Get you milliput on ebay. There are a few sellers selling in packs of ten. You will get through it.

I use two-component body filler (for cars). It´s a bit messy to apply, but the durabillity is (at least for me) quiet all right (and it´s cheap too).
To apply I used a putty knife ana a saw-blade for the rough surface.
