Hello Chaps
I use a sundstrum face mask. These are silicone and have disposable fine filter and a main filter and then a pre filter infront of that. There should be no fumes that you are breathing in.
If there is interest I can supply these.
The mask is a one off purchase and is washable all you have to buy are the filter which I replace every 3 tank. Pre filters are changed every tank. Do not use disposable masks for painting they do not offer any protection at all.

Re: Painting face masks
If you use a mask for a while you will not believe the amount of dust. Don't fancy breathing in etch primer. Worth having one.
If interested in any parts used in my builds contact me at johnfitzsimons@msn.com for a price list.

Re: Painting face masks
Hello Chaps
I have just done some costings out and it works out as follows
Mask £35.00
Gas Filter £15.00 Disposable
Partical Filter £8.00 Disposable
Pre Filter 5 off £2.00 Disposable
This is how it looks and should be. I have used this system for 6 years now and have no problems with it. You can even do it for DIY just take the Gas Filter off. There are other systems out there aswell ie 3M but it works out a bit more as you have two filters either side.
