Useful DVD

Post by Stephen White »

I've just received a DVD called "Dealing with Photoetch" by Adam Wilder which might be of interest:

Although it deals with 1/35th photoetch, it is worth a look. Adam Wilder covers some advanced techniques with brass and his soldering approaach is particularly useful. He bases his film on a T34/85 and anyone making the Armortek model would appreciate the close ups of a real tank in Moscow. The parts Adam uses would also be repeatable in one sixth.

It isn't on general release yet but I got mine direct from Adam and I have the details if anyone's interested.

Regards

Stephen

Hi all. I've looked at the DVD some more and it's full of close up shots of a real T34/85. Lots of great detail. I got an email from Adam last night to say that the best bet for UK customers is Historex, who have just received a stock:

Sales@HistorexAgents.com

I've asked him about supply in the States.

Best regards

Stephen

Hi All
I ordered my copy of the DVD late on Thursday night and to my amazement it arrived at my house this morning, boy what a super fast service from Historex.
The DVD is everything Stephen said it was and some.
Everything in it I am sure can be upgraded and or adapted for us to use in 1/6 scale.
The close up shots of the T 34/85 are fantastic.
I would recommend this DVD to any one no matter what the model they are working on.
I do hope this short sharp review will be of use to some you chaps within our great forum

Regards to all
