Ultimate Boys Toy - Driveable Panzer III Model

Post by Antony Rowley »

Just seen this on the SAG forum :D . A self drive Panzer III model in 1/2.4 scale. I think next time he needs to make it 1/2 size to get his head through the cupola. Great fun, I wish I had one 8)

 What a great piece of work. You think he would have planned that a little better so he could have atleast been able to pop his head out further. Maybe when he started the project he could,

That is totally cool though! nice looking model of an early PIII. Wonder if he has a friend working on an allied tank.

Thanks for sharing that Antony.
Kind regards
Tim

Joking apart - there just has to be a market for something like this.

If I could buy a kit of machinery and tracks and a set of plans to do the body in good quality thick plywood I would be tempted - but half size certainly.

A project for retirement is the construction of a half scale half track - along the lines above - so that grand children can "help" around the garden. Who wouldn't want a self propelled tipping wheelbarrow?

Outstanding!
Perfect for the next Slaving Plivate Lyan knock-off movie.
Only problem is HSE/DESO would kill it stone dead here. easier and cheaper to by a classic m.v. than build one from scratch.
Kudos to the guy.
cheers, Fabrice

I'll bet his back gets warm, and the fumes build up. Otherwise very cool.
If your not living on the edge, your taking up to much space.
