Check your E-Mail, I sent a 268 k jpg diagram (Tamiya Sound kit on Armortek TI wiring.jpg). It is by I. Taylor and P. Morris dated September 2004 showing Turret Rotation, Barrel Elevation, Speed Controls. Since it is not my drawing, and since I do not know them, I was hesitant to post it here but it may be somewhere on the older Armortek Forum.
You might double check this info to insure nothing has changed over recent years.

As I recall, Allan Richards may have mentioned something about using a DMD on his Tiger. You might contact him about this.

Hi Martin,
I would be interested in a copy of the wiring plan as well if possible.
Thanks

Can you explain the way you powered them? do you just power the dmd unit with the power pack and what about the radio receiver? they both cant have power to them.

Michael,
The DMD is powered from the 7.2v battery packs as described in the Tamiya instructions. There is a plug on the DMD that will fit the standard plug on the 7.2v battery The DMD then also powers the receiver from this battery. If you are thinking of going this route get yourself a copy of the Tamiya instructions as you will then see how to connect up the the DMD and do the initial setup functions - its not difficult.

Hi.
I use the battery pack just to power the DMD.I remove the red wire from the Y leads to the DMD so that the receiver battery still powers the eletrics as normal.

so there are two different ways to power the reciever? its seems like its a little more complicated then I thought?

Allan& David, Do you use the stock single speaker for sound or did you modify the sound system in anyway? I was thinking about adding another speaker, or even maybe using an amplified speaker. Im not too sure if the sound is going to be loud enough. I still having tried it yet as im still wiring up everything. Thanks guys..

Are you happy with the sound from the one speaker? Does it distort when you turn the volume up? I was just wondering before I finish wiring up everything...

Michael,
There is a volume screw on the MF unit I think that can be adjusted. I have fitted a Benedini amp and two larger speakers as the sound is attenuated quite a bit by the large metal box of a hull.

Allan,
Is there any way you could explain in better detail of what you did?
I think this is what im looking to do, but not know where to get the benedini amp or which one and wiring details. If you can help thanks..
