Hi Guys
I have been meaning to do this post on German WW2 jacks for some time, with my postponed workshop move I have decided to post this information and try to get a feel for how interested members might be for me to produce all these jacks. At the moment very few of these jacks are available in 6 scale. I made the 15 ton jack about eight years ago, it was not as accurate as it could have been, but I had not done all the research needed at the time and made it from scaled drawings only. I now hope to improve the quality and detail of that one and all the others.
I will not claim that all the information here is a 100% correct and I am sure I have failed to find everything that is needed for this very complicated subject. Anyone that can add to what I have here is welcome to do so, if anyone has detailed pictures or scaled drawings, partially for the 3, 5 and 10 ton jacks it would be most welcome.
I plan to offer these as resin cast jacks with some metal parts, which will be what I will not know until I make the masters for casting. There are several different mounting brackets for the various jacks and AFV's. It may not be cost effecting to make them all. Your input on which you would like will help me make that decision. I already have the mounting brackets for the Panther vertical jack made as I had these photo-etched some time ago when first planning to make the jacks.
How to identify jack lift weights. Most jacks had a DIN number, my understanding is DIN = Ton, so jacks marked 5 DIN = 5 Ton.
