Tiger 131 Appeal - Winner

Post by Armortek »

Follow this link to see the lucky winner of a Tiger 1 kit and the presentation at the Tank Museum. Plus some pictures of Tiger 131 itself, in the workshop.

Lucky Ba.....gain ticket that was

Well done Rus and we hope to see you here some time.

Hopefully all the fund raising efforts will see 131 back up and running at TankFest.

Anyone know if it will be this year - I seem to recall it wasn't expected to be so soon

Hi Adrian,

Yes a lucky chap indeed. He was certainly very happy!

On our visit we were told that the hope was to have Tiger 131, up and running for Tankfest, all being well.

I would like to thank Gill and Mark for inviting Barry Domini and myself down to Bovington for the presentation and for Barry taking his Tiger to show the winner what it will look like when built. We had an interesting chat to mechanics in the workshop (that's me on the top of the Tiger). The engine was out of it and away for repair but otherwise complete, must have been a hell of a job swinging the crank over to start it on a cold morning with that inertia starting system. We live in the Dorset area so only down the road for us, the winner comes from not too far away as well so we have swapped names, address's and phone nos in case he needs any help.
