IN THE SNOW

Shortly after this photo was taken both tracks decided to break, luckily I have spare links in my tool kit.
I think it was the snow creating too much tension by building up in the sprockets etc when doing "handbrake turns".
So much for showing off to my guests at my grandchilds party!!!

Hi Graham,

A well proven method to avoid snow from clogging the wheels/tracks is to put the tank outside for half an hour or so before actually driving it.
This allows the metal parts to adapt to the lower outdoor temperature and avoids the snow from melting when in contact with the tracks/wheels.
Believe it or not, but is does work.
BTW, this is no guarantee against breaking tracks in a pivot turn

Thanks for the advice but now the snow has all gone, may have to wait another year.

Looking at the forecast you don't have to wait that long.
Maybe just till next year
