John's KingTiger

Post by John Clarke »

Hi all
I've recently brought Mr John Coates KT and very pleased with it too. It runs well, access is very good and a lot of thought has gone into it's setup. It will never be a shelf queen as I hope to show it the light of day as often as possible.
I know that I have not had the pleasure or pain in building it, although I do have a little history with large scale scratch, semi and kit models.
The KT is controlled via a Futaba 10C using all 10 channels. I use single stick control for driving which leaves a hand free to drive the auxillaries,. this comes from R/C Sub/Boat experience.
I also run a 1/6 mark 1 Challenger 2, Yes I know "wash my mouth out" said "mark 1", but I adore the "best tank ever built" and no one else sells a viable model of this kind. It needs an upgrade to 24v though.
I'm very impressed with the high quality model work that is shown thoughout the forum.
I'm looking forward to discussion's with this forums band of brothers, all support and advice will be warmly welcome.
