Front and Rear Fender Dimensions

Post by Rich Stinchcomb »

I'm scratch building my mud guards/fenders. Does anyone have the overall dimensions of the front and rear fenders? Measurements taken off the Bovington Tiger would be great.

Thanks
Rich

Rich,

I see no one has any info, maybe this picture can give you the proportions knowing what the track width is...

Image

I hope this helps,
Brian

Brian, can you tell us any more about the Tiger I in the image? I do not recall seeing that image previously.

I noted a good bit of details in the photo including a view of the spare tracks support bar. The bar appears to have something else welded onto that bar too - maybe a step like that on the Bovington Tiger?

I'm just wondering how those details compare with my that on my Tiger (3rd Co., 101st SS).

Thanks,
Martin

Rich,

I believe this is the Bovy Tiger.

I don't remember where I got the picture, but it was with other pictures of the Bovington Tiger that I have.

Judging by the step on the lower glacis plate and the damage on the turret lifting post, I'd say this is the Bovington Tiger. Nice picture BTW. Vince Abbott's pictures on Smugmug have been very helpful as well. I was hoping someone took measurements since the fenders are so accessible from the ground.
