Headlamp Wiring

Post by Armortek »

Some early bird customers were sent out the headlamp wiring for the King Tiger before the instructions were ready. Although connection is straight forward the instructions are as follows:

The wiring supplied here allows you to connect the Steve Winstone front headlamp to the auxiliary module for radio controlled operation. The headlamp is fitted with a 12V bulb, and a second 12V bulb is included here, wired in series. This second bulb can be used as a rear light or as an interior light. (Do not replace this bulb with a coloured LED, because they are not suitable for series wiring.)

Connect the bare wire ends to the tails coming from the headlamp. It does not matter which wire is connected to which. Connect the red push on connectors to terminals A and B on the auxiliary module (see page 9 of the electronic modules assembly instructions). Connect the servo lead provided to terminal D on the aux unit and a spare channel on your receiver. Note the Futaba 7C users will require a servo Y lead (not provided) to connect to channel 7.

The aux module will provide power on/neutral power off/power on, over the range of the radio receiver output. Therefore to operate the lights with a two position switch it will be necessary to adjust the servo end point to 0% in one direction on the transmitter (EPA adjust function).
