However today I did get to finish the two escape hatches with the inner plate I made. I just need to put on some kind of latch to keep them closed.

Update on my build
Progress has been slow of late as I have had so many other projects going on, not least of which has been installing my new (larger) CNC Mill and building an enclosure for it and a pneumatic power drawbar (see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVzmLmMelH0 ).
However today I did get to finish the two escape hatches with the inner plate I made. I just need to put on some kind of latch to keep them closed.
