On the one I have just purchased, the front plate appears approximately 2mm too short on both sides
I'm loathed to strip the turret back as a lot of work has already gone into smoothing some of the other joints and it would be a waste of time if I'm not likely to get the fit any better.
Looking from beneath at the way the plates have butted together, there doesn't look to be any room to finesse a better fit
